What is going on with interest rates in 2009?? It has been up and down and all over the map. However rates improved this week.

You could obtain (with zero point):

A 30 year fixed fully amortized for non-conforming loans (greater than $729,750 and up to $1.5M) for 5.750% and 5/1 adjustable for 5.125%.

For fully amortized high balance conforming loans ($417K to $729,750)

30 year fixed at 5.125%

15 year fixed at 4.50%

5/1 adjustable at 4.25%

For fully amortized conforming loans($417k and under)

30 year fixed at 4.857%

15 year fixed at  4.375%

5/1 Adjustable at 3.875%

I still do remember 15%-18% rates in mid 80’s. Wow!!
